Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is conveniently located between Windermere and Bowness Town, making it perfect for exploring the Lakes District. The rooms were reasonably clean but a bit cramped with an old bunk bed squeezed next to a tiny double bed. The service was friendly and accommodating despite a change in ownership. The dining options were good with a vegetarian choice available, but meals took longer to arrive than expected.
My stay at the hotel was pleasant overall. The premium room I stayed in wasn't the coziest for long periods, but it was nice and toasty with complimentary tea and coffee provided. The service, especially from the 2-year-old staff member and the chef, was excellent, polite, and very helpful. The location was brilliant for exploring shops and lake cruises, with easy parking and friendly, efficient staff. Facilities were commendable overall.
I had a delightful stay at this hotel in Windermere. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location was ideal for exploring the attractions of the area. The only downside was the limited space in the room due to the sloping wall setup, making it a bit cramped at times.
